Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I'm an artist and traveler living in Wilmington, North Carolina.

From home to every groovy destination it’s all about art. Just art. -

I love, love, love bags.

Shopping for them. Buying them. Stuffing them full of stuff. Carrying them full of that stuff. Deciding another bag would do better and beginning the process all over again.

Through a windy set of bag-enstances I've wound around to crafting my own bag.

Only...before I can finish this bag I needed a way to carry the bag parts along on my travels. A few passes of the Singer and I had a handy drawstring bag.

Only...the white fabric was just too blank. I spent the trip doodling in stitches on the drawstring bag. The larger bag-in-progress remained safely tucked inside hardly bothered by all the stitching.

Dump out the drawstring bag and the pretty spools of thread tumble and scatter. Wouldn't it be handy to have way to keep them mostly wrangled? No need to chase them under fabric scraps, across the floor, unspooling into a miserable tangle.

Only...I would rather not disturb other tins and jars for this task. A bag comes to mind. A kind of loose, casual, let's all just hang out together sort of structure. Zip, zoom goes the Singer. More stitchy doodling. Done.

At last I can get back to the bag that begat the other bags.

Only...as long as no other carrying, convinience, organizing, wrangling or doodling challenge requests a bag sort of solution.

Chances are...
