As much as my ever expanding journal is a primary container for my art and crafty ideas, it is as often just an ordinary diary. With ordinary diary comes the everyday ramblings that can bring on a cringe when reviewed in a year, a few months or next week.
My journal is most always with me but not, as Oscar's Gwendolen remarks, because "one should always have something sensational to read in the train."
I don't believe that 'sensational' is my goal but I do have a goal or challenge for myself and my journal. All mental ramblings that appear in the journal's pages must be illustrated. Beyond being a good drawing challenge and exercise of my imagination it may also help me write more carefully, creatively, and slow down before I dash off more dear diary drivel.
So whilst I'm considering confining myself to the house because I know where the Girl Scout Cookies are going to be...
